Dan Black

ABSOLUT VODKA teams up with Dan Black to round out its trio of new music inspired by luscious ABSOLUT cocktails. Black’s hot new track – RAW – is a funky, electro-rhythmic piece that complements the brand’s first two releases (from Swedish House Mafia and Little Dragon). Black, who was nominated for two MTV VMAs, is a UK Electro-Pop Artist with music videos reaching millions of fans on Youtube. He brings his pop music intensity to this new track, revealing a deeper look into Dan’s creative world. The multidimensional experience captured in the video creates a “true connection” to the collaboration, and builds on ABSOLUT’s creative history and lineage to highlight that life is best in its purest, “rawest” state. Black takes us on a journey to find the connection to life – with bespoke sounds punctuating his thinking.

The launch of this new music and video premieres July 30th and debuts across the full music & social network spectrum. Following the launch, ABSOLUT and Dan Black will then invite fans, starting Aug. 6th, to show their “raw” form of life by entering to design an album cover for Dan’s upcoming remix EP. The winning cover – picked from the top ten entrants – will become the official cover for the remix EP on iTunes in late September.

Absolut has a history of successful and creative collaborations – from Andy Warhol to Jay-Z. Adding Dan Black to the cadre of collaborators gives great insight into how the brand continues to underscore music and cocktails to help inspire; create a mood; and bring people together to share experiences– at home or in bars.
