Elizabeth Chan

Christmas In The City

Out Now

Merry Bright Music

Christmas comes early this year with the October 14 release of Elizabeth Chan’s third Christmas album, Christmas in the City.  The album, which will be released under Sony/RED, is a tribute to her hometown of New York City. Chan wrote and produced all 7 tracks on Christmas in the City, including the first two singles, “Christmas In The City” and “Something About The Holidays.”

Under the guidance of mega-producer Steve Lillywhite, who has worked with U2, Dave Matthews Band and Thirty Seconds To Mars, Chan has amassed some 400 holiday songs since she began writing in 2011.  Chan has a true passion for this genre of music, writing holiday tunes all year long.

In 2013, her sophomore album Everyday Holidays debuted at number 17 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Songs chart and featured the single “Fa La La,” which landed at Number 7 on the Billboard chart.  USA Today said “its ’80s New York pop vibe, is one of radio’s most-played new holiday tunes this year, right behind Kelly Clarkson’s Underneath the Tree and Johnny Mathis and Jim Brickman’s Sending You a Little Christmas.”

Her debut album, 2012’s Naughty & Nice, debuted at No. 4 on the iTunes Holiday chart. The single, “A Christmas Song” was nominated for a Streamy Award, and the other single “Only on Christmas Time” was an International Songwriting Competition finalist.

In 2011 Chan was a part of Morgan Spurlock’s Webby Nominated docu-series, Failure Club, on Yahoo! Screen. Of her music Spurlock said, “It’s been amazing to watch Elizabeth; she has remained focused on her goal of creating a future Christmas classic. It is inspiring.”
