Ghost Beach

Modern Tongues

October 29, 2012

Crazy Heart Records

Ghost Beach are the latest pop pioneers to set the internet ablaze. Barely a year old, the NYC-based duo of Josh Ocean and Eric “Doc” Mendelsohn have already perfected a blend of retro & futuristic, soaring synth-pop sounds that can best be described as Tropical Grit Pop. Nowhere is this more apparent than on their recently released Modern Tongues EP. Josh plays the jilted lover with vocal panache as Eric’s soaring synths, guitars and forever young harmonies are plucked right out of Neverland.

On the heels of their success with 2012’s Modern Tongues, performances at SXSW and their Aritsts Vs Artists campaign, Ghost Beach is partnering with the website/record label The Most Definitely to release Modern Tongues Remixed today.

Each track has been premiered exclusively online over the past few weeks; Gigamesh (Spotify), Chad Valley (Pretty Much Amazing), Penguin Prison (Nylon Magazine), Shook (Pigeons and Planes) and Summer Heart (Pure Volume) and the entire package is available today via all online distributors.

About The Most Definitely: Established in 2010, The Most Definitely has grown into a trusted tastemaker of independent music and pop culture.  The Brooklyn based label, blog and promoter is dedicated to advancing the careers of their favorite artists through collaboration and partnership.  http://themostdefinitely.com/
