SHAYGRAY

Hipster Hype EP

May 27, 2014

Dim Mak

Hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, firecracker rapper SHAYGRAY is a burst of energy bound in a 25 year old body, and he’s ready to unleash it onto the world. SHAYGRAY’s musical journey started in the hip-hop community of Israel, where he was instantly embraced due to his quick tongue and fearless creativity. He was quickly performing to crowds all over the country, which lead him to be featured on numerous tracks, and provided the opportunity to perform worldwide. The last few years have seen SHAYGRAY heavily involved in electronic music, most notably through his work with fellow Israeli Borgore.

The infamous Borgore needs no introduction at this point, at least not to anyone who has been paying attention to bass music the past several years. In fact, the entire Borgore experience, from his speaker-shredding tracks and viral social media presence to one of the most propulsive, interactive live shows around, has turned him into one of electronic music’s most popular and controversial figures

Hipster Hype is the debut EP from SHAYGRAY, set for a May 27 release via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. The first single is ‘Illuminati’ ft. Borgore, a topic that has been getting plenty of heat as of late from Madonna to Kanye’s proclamations. The track and it’s accompanying video can only be described as completely bonkers. The video takes place at a post apocalyptic rager in a crumbled white house, this party is like none you’ve ever been to, featuring a cast of characters up to antics that are sure to shock even the most seasoned of party veterans.
